Wesley E. Baker Executed

from The League: Reassembled

Convicted crimincal Wesley Eugene Baker was executed this evening for the murder of Jane Tyson in front of her two young grandchildren. Despite pleas to consider a University of Maryland study proving the racial disparity on death row and strong mitigating circumstances, Ehrlich went ahead and decided to have Baker killed. When Baker's mother was impregnated with him after being raped at the age of 12, the state wasn't there. When Baker was sexually abused as a child by two neighborhood girls, the state wasn't there. When Baker was beaten up by his heroin-addicted mom and her boyfriend, the state wasn't there. When Baker was living on the streets before age 10, the state wasn't there. When Baker turned to alcohol and drugs, the state wasn't there.

Baker killed someone and the state finally showed up. It just executed him.
