Free State Politics: The Next Generation
As some may already be aware, BlogPAC, a progressive organization set up by the founders of MyDD to provide support to progressive activists around the country, has decided to offer Free State Politics a grant to help turn it into a community blog, much like MyDD or the Daily Kos. The money will go toward covering the setup and hosting costs of a SoapBlox website, which is an easy to use comnunity blogging format. With the support of OnBackground, FSP's current administrator, I'll be taking care of the transition. This is a very exciting opportunity, and I will have more information about what will be happening very soon.

This is extremely exciting. I hope we can get as many Maryland Democrats involved as possible. This is a huge chance to make our voices heard loudly in both Annapolis and in our County and City governments.
I really like this blog but I have a concern...
A progressive community blog would be great if it is inclusive of all progressives. Too often the word progressive is substituted for Democrat and progressives who are NOT Democrats are shut out of progressive forums either by force, or simply by harassment. Will this new community blog be a progressive blog or a progressive Democrat blog?
I guess this means I better get off my ass and write something, stat.
This is pretty cool, actually. Virtual group hug.
will the new "progressive" blog allow the neo-fascist anti-immigrant MoCoProgressive to post?

Okay! Annapolis Capital Punishment (CP) would like to throw its blog hat into the ring too. CP often wonders what is a progressive and if there is a difference between a progressive and a liberal. A recent article CP read said the only difference is that a progressive thinks there is a difference. CP looks forward to getting on the SoapBlox...whatever that may mean.
I think it's outstanding. Good on O.B. and Isaac Smith for getting this off of the ground. Any idea when it might be flying?
Looks like it's up, but it might need some more tweaking. Awesome job folks.
