Steele on the Air

Maryland Lt Governor Michael Steele has released his first ad. The Maryland Dems retorted with a quick email statement:
Steele forgot to mention his "homeboy" Bush, and support for Bush's failed policies... Michael Steele is trying to be someone he is not. Independent? Hardly. Steele supports Bush on Iraq, on prescription drugs, and on stem cells. All the TV ads in the world can't erase the fact that Michael Steele will be another vote for George Bush and Dick Cheney in the Senate.
Well, that aside, I think it's a pretty good spot. I like that it's just Steele talking to the camera. It's not going to persuade me (I've seen the Real Steele), but it's nicely done. Comments?

Effective, more engaging than most commercials and less formulaic (especially the pacing). This could be an interesting race if Steele runs an effective campaign.
