O'Malley Making Good with the Burbs

Mayor O'Malley appeared at a Baltimore County community activist meeting yesterday to express his strong opposition to a proposed Liquefied Natural Gas plant near Dundalk, WJZ reported.

Smart move. The plan is met with nearly universal opposition in the County, especially by community members in the Dundalk and Turner Station neighborhoods. The mayor rightly considers these blue collar, inner-ring suburbs essential for gubernatorial bid. By stressing his opposition to the plant, O'Malley is demonstrating that he understands and cares about the areas.

Ehrlich is officially opposed to the proposal as well, but his personal attorney David Hamilton is under fire for illegally lobbying on behalf of the plant.
