From Sharon in Md, Update on Md. Governor's Race

Sharon in Md has posted an Update on the Maryland Governor's Race that is worth a read. She also points out the Sun Article on the State's suit against two Administration employees who refused to answer the legislature's questions about hiring and firing practices under the Ehrlich administration.

Which leads to the question: What is with this state, why do we have this Sauron/Saruman thing going with our executive branches? Ol' George stonewalls Congress, must we have something similar in the State House? When I was a kid in elementary school, we had a lesson on Maryland as "America in Miniature," but I think we're taking it a bit too seriously. Can't we just copy the good parts? Just askin'.
