Anyone else notice that President Bush mentioned "Baltimore, Maryland" and one of our greatest political families in the second line of the State of the Union?
As if that wasn't recognition enough, a few minutes later, our new Gov. Martin O'Malley showed up on the screen. He got quite a bit of facetime for someone with little connection to the federal government.

but apparently he was asleep!!!!! see the photo in this morning's Wash Post.
No one was asleep. Not John McCain, not O'Malley, not Kennedy. They were reading along with the speech. This is very common during the SOTU.
